      Urania (Greek: Celestial) was one of the nine Muses in Greek mythology. Urania, the goddess of astronomy and the stars, was often depicted with a globe and a compass. As seen here, she is often depicted surrounded by stars, gazing up at the sky. Urania was the muse of many philosophers and was believed to bring the human mind closer to the heavens.
