Despite the fact that the basket is a completely common item in our daily lives, it turns out that it played a very significant role in the evolution of sapiens. It was the basket that helped humans collect larger quantities of small, loose materials and food products, such as berries, grains, nuts, and conveniently transport them over greater distances, thereby pushing humans towards the throne of the world's king.
The first bags were probably made of animal skins, folded in half, and secured on the sides with cords. Or maybe wicker? Later woven, cotton or woolen.
Tens of thousands of years have passed, and the need to conveniently carry necessary items has remained.
If you think about it, maybe a woman's desperate desire to buy another handbag is a genetically inherited, instinctive habit of our ancestors, inviting us to pick berries - lipsticks, fish skeletons - hair combs, and hallucinogenic mushrooms - an opportunity to "relax" with friends after a day at work?

The beginning of portraits of domestic animals in human clothing is difficult to pin down to a single artist or period—it was a very rare subject in Renaissance art. However, one of the first artists known for depicting animals alongside humans is Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian Renaissance genius who was deeply interested in both human and animal anatomy. His works sometimes feature humans and animals together, including portraits of animals in human clothing. For example, one of his famous works that features a human and an animal together is the painting "Lady with an Ermine," which he created between 1490 and 1492. It depicts the Polish queen Catherine Sforza with her unusual pet. Although Leonardo da Vinci may have been one of the pioneers of depicting domestic animals in human clothing, the subject was still very limited in its exploration by Renaissance artists, with more focus on human portraits, religious and mythological works. Frida Kahlo was a famous Mexican artist who was known not only for her artwork, but also for her strong character and resilience. One of the interesting stories related to Frida's self-confidence is her rehabilitation after a terrible accident.
In 1932, Kahlo was in a serious car accident that left her with serious injuries, including a broken spine and forearm bones. These injuries left her bedridden for a long time and required numerous surgeries. Her life was filled with pain, but she did not lose her strength or creative joy in this difficult situation.
The period of illness and suffering began when she sat up in bed to paint again. Despite the difficulties, Frida began to paint her face with the help of the bedroom mirror. This symbolized her struggle with her external image and her confrontation with herself.
Frida learned to work with her body and her situation. She not only experienced physical suffering, but also expressed it in her work, creating sincere and emotional self-portraits and other paintings. Her work showed a strong personal identity, and creativity became a way of expressing feelings.
This story from Frida's life shows her self-confidence and her ability to find beauty even in the darkest situations. Her resilience, creativity, and courage are truly inspiring.
